A Fun Weekend At Jellystone

by Jennifer | Sep 29, 2020

Last weekend we had a mini staycation in Lodi, California at Tower Park Jellystone campground. It was such a memorable weekend and the right amount of relaxation, adventure and fun our family needed. Jellystone Park is located in beautiful Lodi, California (also known for their wine). There are over 75 Jellystone locations across the country. All we had to do was show up and our vacation started. There as so much to do and an activity guide to keep us busY all day.

There are a few ways to stay at Jellystone, you can camp at one of their campsites in a tent, RV, or trailer. Or you can stay in one of their cabins. Campsites range in options and can include, water, sewer, picnic table, water hookups, fire ring and amp service. If you want more comfort and convenience you can opt for one of their cabins. There are the Delta Deluxe, Cindy Bear Cottages, Boo Boo Bungalows, Cozy Cottages, and Delta Deluxe Plus Cabins. They can sleep 4-8 people depending on which one you choose. They range in amenities from, kitchenette, full bath, private hot tub, grills, picnic table, loft, TV, DVD player and more!

We stayed in a Delta Deluxe Plus Cabin and loved every minute of it! It had everything we needed for a fun cabin weekend. Some of our favorites about it was our own private patio, personal hot tub, bunk beds and loft space! The kitchenette included a refrigerator, freezer, kitchen sink, stove, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, plates and silverware. This came in handy with the kids. We loved making breakfast in the cabin every morning and grilling outside at night. The pull out couch was perfect for our family movie nights and the fire pit outside made for a s’mores party! When you book you can choose to rent their linens or bring your own. One tip would be to bring extra towels, especially beach towels for the pools. Another convenience of our cabin was being so close to the pools and lazy river, we could see them from our cabin.

There is so much to see and do at Jellystone. We were so glad we had a golf cart to whisk us to every event and activity. They are available to rent per night.

One of our favorite things at the park were their Lazy River, it was so relaxing to sit in the tubes and Just float along. The kids didn’t want to get out (and I didn’t either)

And of course there were multiple pools to take a dip in. Also poolside were tables, chairs and umbrellas. Private cabanas are also available for rentals and include, TV, refrigerator, lounge chairs and more.

Also included in the stay was access to mini golf (definitely Savvy’s top choice and a full 18 holes), Jumping Pillow, and Playground. And for the athletes in the family there is a basketball court and beach volleyball area. Greyson loved the appearances of the Yogi and friends as they drove by our campsite in their own golf carts, playing music and waving to the kids.

If you bring the furry little member of your family there is even something for them to do. The Bark Park is the perfect place for your four legged friend to run around.

For additional cost there is Other activities like, gem mining, paddle board rentals, lazer tag and crafts! We were amazed at how much there was to do without even leaving the park.

And if you get hungry you can make a stop at the Pic-a-Nic Basket! This food truck serves dishes loved by the whole family like, pizza, chicken fingers, fries, hot dogs, salads and wraps. Plus on certain weekend mornings they have a pancake breakfast. If you have a sweet tooth like me you can visit Sunset Sweets ice cream shop, be sure to try their brownies. They were delicious.

Jellystone was the perfect family weekend away. There was so much to do and the views of the Mariana were beautiful. The staff was so friendly and the property was so cleaned. And if you need anything the Ranger Station had everything you needed, like movie rentals, snacks, drinks, toys, towels, sun block , Souvenirs and more!

A huge thank you to Jellystone park for hosting us for the weekend, we made cherished memories and can not wait to go back. All the views and opinions in this post are all my own.
