Dove and Winter Skincare Tips

I am so excited to partner with Dove on todays blog post to share some of my skincare survival tips. When it comes to winter a warm blanket, bright cheery colors and smooth moisturized skin is a must in my book! One of my personal go to products is my Dove Advanced Care Antiperspirant in Coconut Care; it keeps my underarms smooth and dry all day! Now that you know what I care for my underarms with this winter, read on as I share some other winter skincare tips from Dr. Barba and me.
I have been traveling this winter and staying on the East Coast for an extended amount of time. The winters in New England are cold and harsh. Can you believe today temperatures dropped down under 20 Fahrenheit!? One product I was sure to pack was Vaseline. It works great on my cracked cuticles. Dr. Barba also suggests using it on elbows and hands. Or it can multi task as a highlighter on your cheekbones.
Another winter skincare tip is still to apply sunscreen even on the cold days. The sun is always shining no matter the season, even in the winter the suns harsh rays seem to beam off snow piles even harder. Dr. Barba suggests to use a moisturizing sunscreen on your face even when the rest of your body is bundled put o protect your delicate skin.
Sweater weather is upon us and I don’t mind all that much since I love so many of the amazing sweater styles out there. But try not to forget those parts that those warm and cozy sweaters cover. Be sure to keep your neck, arms and hands hydrated with a good moisturizer!
And last but not least drink lots of water, your skin will thank you! If I am feeling on the chilly side, I warm my water and garnish with a lemon! What a way to end a cold winter’s day!
