Once September rolls around there is one thing on my mind…..Halloween. I have always been a huge fan of Halloween. But since having kids I have been even more into it. It is so fun every year to choose a family costume, decorate our home, carve some pumpkins and make some yummy and fun Halloween arts and crafts. And when it comes to this ghostly day, we know Walmart is our one-stop shop for all of our needs! You can shop online and do grocery pickup, making it easy for you to get your order.
We have partnered with Hershey and Walmart to share two special crafts we made for the Halloween season. The first is our way of paying it forward in the sweetest way. We made a ‘You’ve been Booed’ basket for our neighbors.
The idea of the basket is to anonymously leave these goodies for your neighbor and encourage them to do the same for someone else in your neighborhood.
We used this adorable You’ve Been Booed printable artwork here https://crazylittleprojects.com/youve-been-booed/ and then we headed to Walmart to fill our basket.
We grabbed some glow bracelets, glow necklaces, Halloween pencils, and Halloween stickers. We topped off the basket with some of our favorites from HERSHEY®!
REESE’S Peanut Butter Cups, KIT KAT® Bars, HERSHEY® Milk Chocolate Bars and the new Hershey’s Vampire Kisses.
Once filled, we taped the You’ve Been Booed artwork to the front and left these fun-filled baskets on our neighbors’ doorsteps.
It was such a fun thing to do and a great way to show my twins how to spread kindness.
The next project I worked on was with my son, Greyson. He wanted to make something special for his twin sister, Savvy. So we decided to make her a boo-quet. This is a sweet spin on the traditional bouquet of flowers, but so much yummier. We grabbed Hershey’s All-Time Great Miniatures from Walmart, then headed to their crafting section and picked up some dowels, foam, tissue paper and tape.
We strolled down their amazing Halloween aisle and found a black bat metal tin and knew it would be perfect for the base. Once home we wrapped the foam in white tissue and then placed inside our metal tin.
I cut the dowels to a variety of different lengths. Then had Greyson use tape to adhere the candies to the dowels. We stuck the dowels into the foam and viola! A boo-quet full of HERSHEY® treats and no tricks.
Savvy loves it. It’s such a sweet, yummy and unique gift to give!
Remember to visit Walmart [ https://smarturl.it/HersheyHalloween) to get all you need to create some fun this Halloween, whether it’s tricks, treats, or some crafting fun. We hope all you guys and ghouls have a very Happy Halloween!
