Leftover Halloween Candy

by Jennifer | Nov 01, 2017

The twins and I had such a great time trick or treating.  They are just gettting out of their sugar comas and we are going thru our massive stash of Halloween candy.  Below I listed a few ways you can repurpose that leftover candy.

1. Operation Gratitude Halloween Candy for Heroes

This great organization collects and donates your candy to first responders and deployed troops.  Check out more on how to donate by clicking here https://www.operationgratitude.com

2.The Switch Witch

The Switch Witch is very similar to Elf on a Shelf.  The Switch Witch book tells the tale of a nice witch who visits kids who leave their candy out for her.  She takes their candy and in exchange for their candy they get a healthy surprise.  We have this book and doll and love it! Once you kids are ok with the candy being gone adults can do what they please with it. (Donate it, use for holiday recipes etc.)  Check out the Switch Witch here http://switch-witch.com

3. Holiday Cookies

Save some of your children’s candy like M&Ms, Reese Peanut Butter Cups and Hershey kisses and use them for your holiday cookie recipes.  This will save money and time during cookie making season!
