I love going to the nail salon to get a gel manicure. Besides looking fabulous it is so relaxing, something all us Moms need time to time. But sometimes life gets so busy, with play dates, story hour and trips to the grocery stores, I miss a much-needed nail retouch. And in my opinion there is nothing worst than chipped, peeling nails. So I have found a great home solution for great nails to tide me over until my next salon visit.
Sensational Express Gel
Sensational Express Gel sells a complete nail kit for under $25 that gives you the salon look of shiny beautiful gel nails you can do at home. The kit includes a LED lamp, nail file, manicure stick and gel color.
Mine came with a lovely red color but the company sells over 15 different colors. Each extra polish is under $6!
Some great features of this polish set are it is long-lasting (mine has been on for about a week now), no dry time (huge for me since I am a chronic smudger), the hue does not fade or dull, the color is vibrant and shiny.
When it comes to painting nails I am an amateur to say the least. So I was so excited to find a product that was so simple to use and hard to mess up. The steps were easy as one, two, three.
1. Start with clean filed nails
2. Paint your nails with the polish
3 Place painted nails under dryer for about a minute (directions say 30 seconds but I felt closer to a minute produced better results).
